June, month renovation for Scoliosis
The June has established itself internationally as a month of information and awareness for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis.
Preventing Scoliosis and stopping its progression is a big goal for all health professionals involved in treating it.
About 1 each 40 children under 16 will display a distortion that needs to be addressed. While Idiopathic Adolescent Scoliosis is diagnosed with the same frequency in boys and girls, however in girls the deformity develops 8 times more to the extent that it needs to be addressed. The child will rarely complain as Idiopathic Adolescent Scoliosis usually does not cause pain.
Early detection and treatment of scoliosis are the keys to avoiding a development of deformity that can have a significant impact on physical and psychosocial health or to the point of requiring surgery..
